Solutions for Life Science
-
Cell Culture
Leica cell culture microscope systems feature easy-to-use operations that require minimal training and maintenance with color-safe LED illumination as well as optional easy fluorescence and HD imaging. Leica cell culture microscopes also allow for flexible working distance up to 80mm with accommodating slides, petri dishes, multi-well dishes and taller flasks.

Education Microscopes for School and University
Educational plug-and-play microscopes used in classrooms around the world to help unlock the student’s full potential.
-
Clinical Microscopy
Leica Microsystems traditional and digital microscopy solutions for clinical and life science research applications focus on the user. With detail-enhancing clarity from exceptional optics and all-day comfort from advanced ergonomics, Leica’s clinical microscopes help the user see all the finest details required for a precise and accurate diagnosis, whilst helping achieve high-quality results in scientific research.

Fluorescence Microscopy
Fluorescence microscopy even allows users to determine the distribution of a single molecule species, its amount and its localization inside a cell. Co-localization and interaction studies can be performed, and ion concentrations as well as intra- and intercellular processes like endocytosis and exocytosis can be observed. With the help of super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, it is even possible to image sub-resolution structures.

Micromanipulation
In time-lapse or multi-dimensional experiments, cell manipulation is the starting point for subsequent analysis. Microinjection with DNA, RNA or probes into adherent cells enable the user to better understand pathways and intracellular machinery. DNA, stem cells or spermatozoa microinjection into oocytes or blastocysts are performed to create transgenic or cloned organisms, or to fertilize oocytes for Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). Furthermore the CRISPR/Cas9 technique is used to produce transgene animals.
